Side Quests that Reward You with V-Bucks in Fortnite STW

Save the World is the original single-player campaign that Fortnite was created as a spin-off from. It is a co-op game which requires a lot of grinding for various items such as V-Bucks, which is why YouTubers like SaveTheWorld frequently run giveaways for them. There are things the game has in order to teach you how to get free V-Bucks, but only a few select in-game activities actually give you free V-Bucks:

1. Human missions awarded 50 V-Bucks daily or main missions awarded 100 V-Bucks daily.
2. Most missions also give bacon, XP, or random loot, but a handful drop V-Bucks upon completion.

Early on, these challenges can be tough to repeat multiple times. As you progress through the main plot, fresh tasks replace the old ones. Eventually, the well of fresh challenges runs dry, and your V-Buck grind slows or stops.

The Side Quests are to gather Shielder data, complete Storm Shield Defenses level 10, and revisit every area one last time. Each zone (Stonewood, Plankerton, Canny Valley, Twine Peaks) concludes after six defenses, leaving behind one five-star shield in each.

Known V-Bucks Rewarding Side Quests

• Lok's Book of Monsters – Collect sample data for a particular husk during missions. Certain quests pay out in V-Bucks.
• Lok's Book of Monsters: Floating Freaks – Collect 20 Shielder Data in successful missions. Complete this job and earn 100 V-Bucks.
• Stonewood, Plankerton, Canny Valley, and Twine Peaks Storm Shield Defense 7–10 (outside of main story). You get 100 V-Bucks each time you beat one of these waves. The final reward on Defense 10 in two areas gives a bonus 150 V-Bucks, totaling 250 for that last fight.

Repetitive Challenges

Below is a list of Fortnite V-Bucks challenges sorted from highest to lowest reward. Each has 20 stages, with later ones requiring more effort:

• Mission Accomplished! – Finish X missions. Rewards 50 V-Bucks each time, up to 20 times for a total of 1,000 V-Bucks.
• Hold the Door! – Complete X number of Storm Shield Defenses. Also rewards 50 V-Bucks per stage, up to 20 times.
• Toxic Treasures – Kill X Mimics on successful missions. Each stage grants 30 V-Bucks; all 20 stages require extra effort.

From these Save the World tasks alone, you can accumulate approximately 2,600 V-Bucks after a few months. There are also other quests like Eldritch Abominations, which reward an Active Powercell for eliminating Mist Monsters, and Leave No One Behind, which grants 10 Bacon and generous Survivor XP for saving survivors.
